FILE OF PRE-ENROLMENT

PRE-ENROLMENT

1. Complete the online pre-enrollment form.

2. Wait for one of the sales assistants to contact you to clarify the conditions.

3. Schedule a visit to see our facilities.

4. Submission of previous assessments or other documents that provide insight into the student’s academic history (for students aged 5 and above);

5. If there is a possibility of a vacancy for the desired year, the next phase will begin.

INTERVIEW

1. Contact the sales assistant to arrange an interview with a person in charge of the educational area or cycle that the student will be joining.

2. The interview will only take place in the presence of the Student and Parents/Guardians.

3. All foreign applicants, from the 2nd year onwards, whose mother tongue is not Portuguese, will take a language proficiency test to gauge the level of Portuguese as a non-mother tongue that they will be attending.

REGISTRATION

1. Based on the information gathered in the previous stages and the admission criteria, the Pedagogical Directorate will decide whether or not to accept the candidate.

2. The decision may be communicated by email to parents/guardians.

3. The Parent or Guardian has 5 working days after receiving the notification to attend the school and formalise the enrolment.

4. If the deadline is not met, the vacancy may be filled.

5.  Students admitted to the 2nd and 3rd Cycles will have to take written and oral tests in English. If the level of English does not match the level of the students at the school, a remediation plan will be proposed.

7. The process concludes with the enrolment of the student and the acceptance by the Parent or Guardian of the school's Internal Regulations.

FAQ

How does the student admission process work?

The student admission process has 3 phases, which are described in Admitting New Students.

The student's presence at this stage of the process is mandatory and must be accompanied, preferably, by both parents and/or guardians.

Existem vários critérios a ter em conta na admissão de novos alunos. A entrevista é apenas um deles. Para conhecê-los consulte os Critérios de Admissão.

Yes, it is possible. To do so, you must inform the Sales Assistant responsible for your process of your intention. As soon as there is a possible vacancy, you will be contacted by email.
At Colégio do Vale, English is a subject area that begins at age 3. In this sense, it is essential to assess the candidates' level of English so that, if necessary, a learning recovery plan can be presented.
No. As a rule, a date will be scheduled for all candidate students to take them simultaneously.
Registration includes school insurance, interview fee, individual process folder and initial access card kit consisting of: student card with neck strap and bag and 2 responsible adult/guardian cards.

Our basic annual fee includes Attendance and Meals. Attendance includes all areas and projects that are part of the Curriculum Components, as set out in the Pedagogical Matrix for each cycle, which can be found in EDUCATIONAL OFFER.

The total annual fee can be paid in advance (see conditions in the PRICE LIST) or it can be paid in 10 monthly installments, from September to June.
All foreign candidates, from the 2nd year onwards, will take a language proficiency test to assess the level of Portuguese as a Non-Native Language that they will attend.
